„Mi az élet?”, firtatja Rofusz Ferenc új filmjében. A film egy férfi életét kíséri végig, hősünk szemszögéből a születéstől a halálig. Léte az emberi lét fordulópontjaiban összegződik. Az élet értelme? Egy értelmes élet!

"What is life?” This new film by Ferenc Rofusz addresses this eternal question. The film follows a man’s life from his own point of view, from birth to death. The turning points of life constitute the very essence of what our hero’s existence is enveloped in. The meaning of life? It is a life with a meaning!

ROFUSZ Ferenc
Rofusz Ferenc 1946-ban született. 1968-ban került a Pannónia Stúdióba, ahol 1981-től animációs rendezőként dolgozott. 1980-ban Oscar-díjat nyert, mint „A légy“ című animációs film rendezője és írója. 1981-ben Balázs Béla-díjjal jutalmazták. 1984 és 1988 között az akkori Nyugat-Németországban animációs sorozatokat rendezett. 1988-ban Kanadába költözött, ahol a torontói Nelvana Ltd. animációs stúdiónál dolgozott, majd 1991-ben önálló stúdiót hozott létre. A Super Fly Films producer-rendezőjeként több, mint hatvan reklámfilmet készített, torontói, New York-i és Los Angeles-i megrendelésre. 2003-tól ismét Magyarországon él, jelenleg animációs rendezőként független filmeket, televíziós sorozatokat és reklámfilmeket készít. 2011-ben Kossuth-díjat kapott.

Ferenc ROFUSZ
Ferenc Rofusz was born in Hungary in 1946, he began his career in animation as an assistant director in 1986 at Pannonia Studios in Budapest. By 1984 he had the position of animation director. He got the Oscar in 1980 for writing and directing the animated short film, “The Fly”. In 1981 he received the Balázs Béla Award in Hungary. In 1984 he left for West Germany where he designed several animated TV series. In 1988 he moved to Canada where he worked for Nelvana Ltd., Toronto. In 1991 he established his own animation company. He has been the producer-director of Super Fly Films Inc. that has produced more than sixty commercials and several animation projects up to now using both traditional and computer / digital animation techniques. Since 2003, he has been living in Hungary, again. As an animation director he has made several independent shorts, TV series and commercials. In 2011 he received the state sponsored Kossuth Prize.
